Graduation Requirements:
25 Credits: One year (2 semesters) in a class equals one credit.
Students will receive courses that qualify for college entry unless parent or
legal guardian signs a document to "opt out" of the college preparatory
curriculum. "Opt out" forms are available in the Counselors' offices.
COLLEGE PREPARATORY /WORK READY/OHLAP REQUIREMENTS
4 English: 4 credits (EnglishI,II,III,IV)
3 Maths: 3 credits (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Math Analysis, Cal)
(Three of these Math Classes MUST be taken in Grades 9-12)
Math of Finance does not meet college prep/work ready/OHLAP req
3 Sciences: 3 credits (Biology I required)
3 Soc St: 3 credits (1/2 OK History, 1/2 US Govt and 1 US Hist required)
2 Foreign Languages or Computer Technology:
(2 credits of same foreign language or 2 credits of computer
classes) ***Keyboarding and typing classes do not qualify***
1 Additional Core:
1 Credit from the courses listed above (cannot be Fine Arts or
an elective)
1 Fine Art: 1 credit (from Art, Music, Drama)
8 Electives: 8 credits (Additional core subjects can count here also)
