About The Teacher

Teaching has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and I feel
that I am finally fulfilling my dream!! I graduated from Southwestern
Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Special Education. While in college
I had the pleasure of completing my student teaching at Mustang North under
the supervision of Ms. Laxton. It was at Mustang North that I spent my first
7 years of teaching. I joined the Creek team 2 years ago and immediately fell
in love with the amazing staff and students! As I begin my third year at
Creek, I am looking forward to a year full of success!!
I strive to make learning fun and rewarding for my students. I believe
that each child has the potential to learn but that they all learn in their
own special way. I want their school memories to be filled with knowledge
and success. I look forward to coming to school each day and I feel truly
blessed to call myself a teacher.
I also feel blessed to call myself a wife and mother. My husband and I
have been married for 16 years and look forward to many, many
more years together! Jason also shares my passion for teaching. He is a
physical education teacher in Putnam City and has been teaching at W.O.E. for
the past 16 years. Not only do we stay busy at school but also with our two
children, Carlie and Carter. Carlie is in the 9th grade at Mustang Mid-
High. She is an excellent student who loves to act/perform, manage the boys
basketball team and be involved in anything and everything at school. Our son
Carter is in 3rd grade at Mustang Creek. He is a terrific athlete! He plays
football in the fall, basketball in the fall/winter and baseball all year
long. He is also a little comedian who keeps us laughing and on our toes all
the time!! God has truly blessed my life.
