THANK YOU for the wonderful support at the Science Museum! We had enough
support for all kids to thouroughly enjoy the day. I hope all of you had an
awesome time with your child and those with you. All of the kids were very
excited and expressed their thoughts about the day.
Please check the opening page and the PHOTO GALLERY. Mr. Koch adds them
periodically. You might see someone you know.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EACH OF THE FAMILIES REPRESENTED IN OUR CLASS!
I hope each one has time to listen to and learn from those around us. Ask
someone older than you what some of the favorite memories of the past include.

SOMETHING NEW: We would like to "adopt" a boy and girl for Christmas by
selecting/purchasing new items for his/her Christmas. These families are in
our building and/or their siblings in other buildings. Think about what and
how much you can share with those less fortunate than us.
Also coming very soon is our fifth grade MUSICAL presentation on DECEMBER 3rd.
Seems a long way off, but it will get her sooner than you think. I plan to
use the CD that Ms. "Music" has shared with me. It appears that the subject
of "Going Green" has some interesting points to ponder. The GREEN permission
form went out last week. It is REQUIRED for your child to attend the
practice session at the high school auditorium on December 3rd..
Don't forget the new fifth grade t-shirt. Nine dollars ($9.00) will cover
the cost of shirt and printing. A note will be sent home as soon as possible
with details.
We have a PTA meeting/dinner coming up, also. The charge is minimal for an
Italian dinner: A TOY............... Information to come soon.
For all of you who attended the conferences in person, on the phone, and with
e-mail, THANK YOU for your wonderful support and encouragement. Each parent
was/is supportive of our class' individuals. You know your child better than
anyone else. Keep up the monitoring of his/her agenda and have your child
SHOW YOU the work that is due and the work that is done. Keep encouraging
positive behavior and giving their best on each assignment, please.
A great way to monitor your child's achievements, please come by the office
to sign up for PARENT PORTAL. I remember escorting a few to the office for
this task. It is worth the time, and your child will know that you are
watching.
