What a great time to read!!!!!!
We will be keeping up with our home reading time. 15 minutes = 1 book
It may take more than one sitting to finish a book. Count each 15 minutes as
a book on the reading log. When you have 20 time slots filled in, sign and
return.
We are working on timed math facts--addition and subtraction. Working with
flash cards is a great way to work on this skill. They should be able to do
50 problems in 5 minutes!!!! Wow!! That is harder than you think! Thanks for
working on this skill. (Watch for practice sheets sent home.)
Thank you for investing this time with your child!!!!
We have spelling lists every week. Check backpacks daily for any notes sent
home.
Extra worksheets or weekly folders are not necessary if your child is
spending time wisely in class and meeting the benchmarks set.
Your family time in the evening is so important at this early age. Talk with
your child about their day. Have bedtime stories read to YOU for a change.
Take a bike ride together or a walk and then talk about your adventure.
Enjoy your time!
