This skill is worked on through the 'Making Words' activities that come home with your child each week. You only need to do a few words each night, or if your child is enjoying the activity and you are moving through it quickly, feel free to spend more time.
***If your child is getting bogged down with so many letter tiles, then lay out only the tiles needed for that word-making session.
**If the words are too easy for your child, then you can absolutely move on to more challenging words. See if your child can make words with 5 or 6 letters using blends (sl, pr, st, gl, etc.) and digraphs (ch, qu, sh, th, wh).
