Hi! My name is Kathy Wilkins and I teach Title 1 Math at Mustang Elementary.
This is my third year at ME, as well as my third year to teach Title 1
Math. I am thrilled to be a part of such an exceptional school of outstanding
students and faculty members. It is my pleasure to be a part of your child's
educational journey.
This is my 13th year of teaching. I began my tenure in Putnam City where I
taught 3rd grade for four years, and 4th grade for two years. I then moved
to this wonderful district and taught 3rd grade at Mustang Creek for four
years prior to coming here. I LOVE teaching math and discovering new and
different approaches to meet the individual needs of children. My main goal
is to pass on a love for mathematics to students. There is nothing more
rewarding than seeing a child's face light up when they make that connection
to a new concept and discover how fun math can be!
I have been married for 10 years to my wonderful husband, Doug. We share
three incredible children: Jennifer, 35; Jeff, 32, and his wife Ashley; and
Chris, 19. I also have a sweet grandson, A.J., who is 13. We are truly
blessed!
In my spare time I enjoy reading, traveling, cooking/baking, and running in
5K races. I'm not very fast, but I have fun.
