This year is flying by!

I have a concern about how many of you are skipping the "hard" problems on work and tests.  Life has many moments that are hard and how you handle things depends on how you have trained yourself.  If you look for the easy way out - skipping hard homework questions, copying your friend's work, looking up cheat codes for video games, avoiding a friend because you are mad at them - then you will not learn how to tackle obstacles that will enter your path.  Seek out assistance for hard problems after you have tried setting them up.  Listen with an open mind and heart to your friend when you are upset with him or her.  Never cheat yourself out of positive learning experience - do your own work!

Continue to come in for help if you have questions.  Also, check the calendar for your class for a preview of upcoming work and information about quizzes. (Even pop quizzes!)

Use the links on this website for additional help.  Algebra II and Precalculus may use the website www.hotmath.com.  This site contains step-by-step odd problems from the text.  Students must get the login from me.

My current tutoring schedule is as follows:
Before school Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8:00-8:30 a.m.
After school on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday until 4:30 p.m.

If I have a conflict, I will post it on the assignment board with an alternate date.  Do not wait until the day before the test to finish your work.  Come see me as soon as you begin having questions.  Remember that work for each chapter or unit is due by the test date.

Thursday, February 9th - ACT Math Review - 3:30 - 6 p.m. - pizza and pop $25
Saturday, February 11th - ACT Test
Friday, March 9th - deadline for April ACT
Saturday, March 17th - 24th - Spring Break
Tuesday, April 3rd - Parent Teacher Conferences 4:00-7:30 p.m.
Thursday, April 5th - Parent Teacher Conferences 4:00-7:30 p.m.
