Math: identifying ordinal positions first-fifth, naming shape pieces using
three attributes (shape color size), identifying a missing number in a
sequence, identifying most and fewest on a graph.
Religion: Our theme is "God Creates Animal". We are also working on the
four prayers that we memorize for our report card. They are the "Our
Father", "Hail Mary", "Guardian Angel", and the before meal prayer (Bless Us
Oh, Lord...).
Author of the Month: During the month of September, we will be reading many
books by Ted Geisel (a.k.a. "Dr. Seuss"). Dr. Seuss' books are excellent for
identifying and reproducing rhyming words/sounds, which are critical phonemic
awaremess.
