Dear Families,
Welcome to Kindergarten at St. John’s Catholic School! I know that we are
going to have a wonderful year full of growth, great experiences, a few
surprises, and many treasured memories.
I would like for you to know a little bit more about myself. I am a
native “Okie”, growing up right here in Bartlesville. I graduated from
Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood
Education. I am so proud to be celebrating my 21st year of teaching. As well
as Kindergarten, I also taught PreKindergarten and Developmental First Grade
in the Texas public school system.
I am the proud mom of a seventeen-year-old son. When he was young, I took a
break from the classroom for a few years. During this period of time I
became a licensed Kindermusik educator, eventually becoming the director of
my own early childhood music studio in Lewisville, Texas. I enjoy music, and
I truly believe that most Kindergarteners naturally love to sing. Needless
to say, my classroom is usually quite musical!
Thank you for being such fantastic teachers at home thus far. I look forward
to working closely with you to create a positive experience for your child
and family.
