Projects

Projects that we will be doing this year include the Science Fair and
Religion Fair. As a heads-up, we will not be participating in History Fair,
instead each student is going to write a small book about a president he/she
chooses. We will also be taking a parable from the Bible and making a book
with illustrations.

Guidelines and turn in dates to follow.

Guidelines for President Book

•	The cover should be illustrated with the title on the top and the
author on the bottom. It will be handwritten on the book cover.
•	The page 1 and 2 are left blank.
•	The page 3 and 4 should be the title page with title and “copyright”
information.
•	Page 5 and 6 should have to whom the book is dedicated.
•	Seventh and eighth page is “About the Author.” This should include a
paragraph about you and your life. It should also include why you picked
this President and you should explain how you conducted your research.
•	9th and 10th page should have the Contents. The chapters are listed
on this page along with the page where the chapter can be found.
•	Each chapter should include a title and a chapter number. The
chapter should be about the young life of the president, the years leading up
to the presidency, life during presidency, and life after presidency. More
information than this can be added. You will also need an introduction, the
dates your president was in office, major accomplishments, the President’s
Legacy (What is he remembered for?), Political party affiliation, any other
information that is important about this president, and a conclusion.
•	The last page of the book needs to be the bibliography. (Format at
the end of the guidelines)
•	Pages should be numbered. The page after the cover is page 1(Start
writing the numbers when you start Chapter 1. It will probably be page 11).
•	Everything should be typed. It should be at least 12 point font and
no bigger than 14 point font. The text style should be easy to read. This
is a book.
•	A rough draft will need to be turned in before the final product. It
is due on March 12th 2009.
