Hello, My name is Darryl Andrews and I teach Leadership and advise Student
Council for Yukon High School. I am a 1981 Graduate of Yukon and have been
teaching here since 1985. I am certified in Agriculture Education and taught
Physical Science for 18 years. We began a Leadership Program at Yukon in
2000 and I have taught Leadership since then. Our enrollment grew in 2004 to
a full time position here in Leadership.
This course offers students a way to learn leadership skills that last a
lifetime while giving them an opportunity to make a difference in their
school and community. It offers students the opportunity to work with their
peers and adults in a setting that provided real-life experiences and gives
them the support and structure necessary to deal effectively with those
experiences. Experiences will include, but are not limited to representative
student government, human relations, organization, time management, problem-
solving, communication, and project planning and community service.
