2009/2010 Season:
* On Tuesday November 3rd, the girls finished out the regular season with a 35-23 victory over Philip Pocock. Despite a poor shooting game the team managed to make some clutch shots and play good defence in the 4th quarter to snatch away a win over a tough Philip Pocock team and ensure themselves an undefeated regular season record of 6 wins and 0 losses. Larisa Saplys led the team with 21 points. A great effort was given by all team members. Now the hard part begins ... the playoffs!
* On Wednesday October 28th, the girls won yet another game with a 46-17 victory over Mentor College. This victory was a total team effort has all members of the team played significant minutes in this game. Natalie Romaniuk scored a career high 14 points while Larisa Saplys continued to display consistent play with 10 points and numerous assists. Aurelija Saplys laid the foundation for many a fastbreak with her defensive rebounding. A great effort was put forth by all team members.
* On Thursday October 22nd , the girls continued their winning streak with a 40-18 victory over their close neighbour, St. Pauls. The team played very well are displaying fine mid-season form on their court. Alyson Stanford led the team with 11 points while Aurelija Saplys had a solid 8 points inside the paint. Sade Cole's rebounding and physical presence inside the key was a big factor in the victory. A great effort was put forth by all team members.
* On Tuesday October 13th, the team put in one of their finest performances with a 53-30 win over Glenforest. The 1st half in particular was a clinic in how to break down a zone defence. Alyson Stanford led the team with a season-high 28 points while Larisa Saplys scored 10 points in the victory. Aurelija Saplys and Sade Cole were once again a presence inside the paint with their strong rebounding skills. Everyone participated in the win and played very well.
* On Wednesday October 7th, the Senior Girls Basketball team won their 2nd game of the season against a tough Woodlands team 46-34. Larisa Saplys and Alyson Stanford combined for 35 points while Aurelija Saplys and Sade Cole provided some strong rebounding for the Panthers. A good effort was given by all team members.
* The Senior Girls Basketball team got their season off to a fine start with a 41-20 win over Applewood on Thursday October 1st. Larisa Saplys led the team with 17 points while Alyson Stanford had 8 points in the win. Strong inside play was demonstrated by Sade Cole and Aurelija Saplys who combined for 8 points and a whole lot of rebounds inside the paint. A good effort was given by all team members.

2008/2009 Season:
* The Varsity Boys Rugby team endured yet another hard season finishing with a record of only
one win and 5 losses. Despite a lop-sided loss to Mentor College, all of the other games were
hard fought and competitive. This group of athletes were never shut out by any of the teams they
played against and managed a victory against Rick Hanson. Coach Swindall would like to thank the
team for battling through various injuries and bumps and bruises and for a character-building
season. Congratulations to Kyle Ruiter, Brandon Hale, DJ Patrick and Nathaniel Walker for being
selected to the Peel All-Star team.

*The Senior Boys Basketball team's season came to an end this season with a 72-57 semi-final
loss over Heart Lake. The team had another fine season finishing with a regular season record of
8 wins and 0 losses. Their record for the season including tournaments, exhibition games and
playoffs was 13 wins and only 4 losses. Coach Swindall and Coach Rigato would like to thank the
team for all of their hard work and committment this season. Also, congratulations to Travis
Sherwood, Wes Durette and Mike Park for being selected to try out for the Peel All-Star team.

* The Senior Girls Basketball team's season came to an end with a preliminary playoff loss to
powerful Ascension. The team had a good season finishing with a record of 6 wins and 3 losses.
Congratulations to Annie Le and Monika Szpytko for being named the team's co-MVP's for the 2008
fall season.

2007/2008 Season:
* The Varsity Boys Rugby team endured a tough season this year with injuries yet persevered to
finish with an overall record of 2 wins and 5 losses and qualified in fourth place for the
playoffs in the Tier II south division. Congratulations to Evan Heics, Jeremy Haynes, Anton
Krizan and Nick Medeiros for being selected to the Peel All-Star team.

* The Sr. Boys Basketball team enjoyed one of the finest seasons in Cawthra Park history this
past fall/winter season. The team finished the season with a record of 16 wins and only 2 losses
and made it all the way to the semi-finals! The team also won both of the tournaments which they
entered during the season (Mentor College and St. Martin's Invitational Tournaments). Mr.
Swindall, Mr. Nicitopoulos and Mr. Rigato would like to thank the team for all of their hard
work and commitment during these past 4 months.

with 11 wins and only 3 losses and advancing as far as the quarter-finals in the playoffs where
they unfortunately lost to a very strong Father Goetz team. Mr. Swindall and Travis Sherwood
would like to thank the team for all of their efforts during the fall "hoops" season.

* The Varsity Boys Rugby team finished their season with a 22-12 semi-final loss to St. Francis
Xavier on May 24th. The team had a fantastic year finishing with a record of 7 wins and only 1
loss. Congratulations to Jon Yakymchuk, Lucas Morra, Patrick Vogel and Dave Rokitnicki for being
selected to the Peel All-Star team.
