October 6 - Eco-bottle answers and poster are due.
Week of October 6 - Unit test- exact date to follow (pending Monday's Staff

October 10 - ECOLOGY UNIT TEST- material from the entire unit - from the
beginning of the semester- look over objectives sheet from the ecology
package, it should give you an idea of the content.
October 21 - Quiz - patterns and trends of the periodic table - know the
correct spelling of the first 20 elements, groups/families, periods,
reactivity, stable, staircase, radius of the atom(larger to smaller as the
periods increase), calculating the number of protons, electrons and neutrons,
drawing bohr-rutherford diagrams
November 4 - Quiz, - Lewis Diagrams, ionic bonding,multivalent elements,
polyatomic ions, covalent bonding quiz. YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW TO READ AND USE
THE SCIENTIFIC PERIODIC TABLE.
November 20 - Chemistry Unit Test - Read summary sheet and Review question
sheet.
November 24 - Chemistry lab Due. Purpose - written in past tense, Materials
and Apparatus - complete list of materials used(separate heading), Apparatus,
complete list of apparatus used. Discussion question - neat and complete
answer along with your chart with the balanced equations.
December 4 - First testing of Blue Box Car - has to meet required dimensions,
mass, roll down the ramp, 1 meter past the end of the ramp, and NOT break the
egg, for full marks.
December 8 - Physics Quiz - Significant figures, Calculating speed, distance,
and time. converting kilometers per hour into metres per second and vice/versa
December 17 - Final Testing for Blue Box Car
December 18 - Physics Unit test: Significant digits, rounding, scientific
notation, calculating speed, distance, time, position and
displacement,velocity vs scalar quantities, calculating average speed,
average velocity, acceleration, BE ABLE TO CHANGE THE EQUATION AROUND TO FIND
THE MISSING VARIABLE, Graphing and interpreting graphs, uniform vs non-
uniform motion, speed-time graphs, distance-time graphs, velocity-time
graphs, position-time graphs, acceleration and drawing tangents, calculating
displacement on a graph by finding the area under the graph.TRY PHYSICS

January 9 - In class, blue box car calculations, INDIVIDUAL BRING A
CALCULATOR. (LOOK OVER YOUR EQUATIONS)
January 12 - Final Blue Box Car Report Due- Scaled diagram(s) of your car,
front, side, axle view are recommended. All measurements should be included.
Instructions on how to build the car should be included, numbered, no
personal pronouns, written as a Procedure or Method of a Lab.
Wed January 21 - Final Exam - check for your room # . RETURN YOUR TEXTBOOK TO
ROOM 317 BEFORE THE EXAM. You need to bring a calculator, ruler, pen, pencil,
and protractor.
