Here we are! May 1st! I can't believe that we are here already! The month of May will be hectic with of course the biggest event being the trip to Quebec on May 20th. Thank you to all of you who were so diligent in handing in the money. It made the job so much easier. You will be receiving a letter next week that will clearly outline what is appropriate to take and what is not. Please read through this letter closely as we do not want to get to Quebec and have issues with items. All students are welcome to take cameras but please remember that everything must be clearly labelled. As well, the school is not responsible for the loss or damage that may occur. Another event this month is Jump Rope for Heart/Hoops for Heart. This will be occurring on Friday, May 16th and all students are expected to participate as that is part of their phys. ed mark. The fundraising is not factored, just the participation. Students must let me know what they would like to do as they have a choice between Jump and Hoop. On Friday, May 30th we will also be running our school level Track and Field meet. Again, participation is part of phys. ed so all will be expected to participate. Practice and preparation will begin next week in phys. ed classes. An update for those students who purchased Grad clothing - it is scheduled to be shipped in mid-May. I called and spoke to them the other day so that I could update you on this. As for curriculum, we will be covering the following: Math - finish up algebra, look at probability and then start a review of everything we have done this year Should you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me at 905-436-2054.
