June 9th,
-Well we are done all the presentations and exam time is upon us.
-Two new documents have been added to the webpage that coincide with Question on German and    
  Italian Unification.  Just as Mazzini and Verdi were inspirational in Italian Unification, these two  
  Germans also played a similar role.
  

April 28th,
-The Easter breaks disturbed the course content - But we are back on track
-French Rev. and Napoleon Unit Test on Tuesday May 2nd,
-It is advisable that you also review the reading for details tests 1 & 2
-French Rev. and Napoleon Review is now online
-Napoleon presentations and readings to be presented Monday
-Furthermore, due to the disruptions and presentations we will be moving at a quicker pace                  
  beginning May 3-18th and from May 18-June 16th
-Exams beging June 20th

April 10th,
-You can see a primitive outline for the month of April on the handouts page.  Obviously it will 
change as we progress
-Finally, presentations end today.  For the Grimms Brother's fairy tale go to the following link:

March 31st,
-Due to a missed presentation, we will move forward and start the French Revolution. Download the 
"French Revolution Worksheet" and complete it before the end of the unit.

March 29th,

-9pm, I Just uploaded Mary and Andrei's Handouts.  Print them for class tomorrow

March 27th,
- Vicky's suggested readings for her topic "Decline of the Roman Catholic Church and rise in  
   Secularism" can be found on 
   for the Reformation: pg. 28-32
   for the Enlightenment: pg 144 (introduction)
- You can download her handout, from the handouts sections
- Have this read by tomorrow's class

March 24th, 2006
- Enlightened Despot Assignment is due Friday April 7th
- Check under CALENDAR to see your presentation date.


March 23rd, 2006
- Marking sheet is finally up in the handouts page.  Please include one copy with your assignment
- Due date - TBA in class.

March 20th, 2006
-  Download the document "Enlightenment" and answer the following questions.  The names and            
    terms will be on an up-coming test.

-  Download the document "Leviathan" and have the questions answered by Tuesday's class.  
-  Lastly, I hope you had a good March Break and are well rested!!!!!

March 7-8th, 2006
-  Read pages 75-79 on Absolutism
-  Read pages 79-83 on The English Constitutional Monarchy


March 8-9th, 2006
As this course explores the West and the WORLD, it is important that you understand what other 
events were coming about in the East and Far East, and how they have influenced the modern day 
world you now live in.  I will not be 'checking' for completion, but it is expected that you know the 
following as they may appear on tests/quizes/exams.

- Answer questions #2, #4, and #5 on page 128
- Answer questions #1, #2, and #3 on page 140

**  Also, pring off the Document "Ideas of the Englightenment" 
    and bring it to class tomorrow (March 9th)
