If I'm away and have missed a class or more...what do I do?

It is your responsability to make sure that you catch up.  How do you do 
this?  Find a buddy whom you trust that will tell you what you missed and 
direct to the work to catch up on.  Or see Miss Jaffer to get what you missed.

be prepared to write the test as soon as possible.

Ask the expert!  That's Miss Jaffer by the way.  Be prepared to hear about it 
if part of the reason you're confused is that you haven't kept up with the 
assigned work.  Bottom line:  don't procrastinate; get your work done and 
clear up any misunderstandings.

Persevere...there will be many challenges in life that you will be subjected 
to.  You can only control what you do about them.  Step up, put forth your 
best effort, communicate and follow through - you might be surprised by what 
you learn.
