The Dam Youth Drop-in is named "The Dam" because we believe that the drop-in
is a dam that stops the flow of teens from running away and becoming homeless
street youth downtown. It is our goal to be the friends of youth and help
them to stay at home, in school and in the community.

Our Place (Peel) is a registered non-profit charity that provides residential
and support services for disadvantaged and homeless youth 16-21 years of age
in Peel Region. Every year we help 350 to 400 kids in crisis. We give them a
place to stay, help them to return home if it is feasible, assist them to
learn the skills they need to survive if it isn't, and provide counselling,
support, and referrals. If you are 16 to 21 years old, ready for real change,
and need somewhere safe to stay, we want to talk to you.
