The following items are essential to help students organize
themselves efficiently.

1. 2 binders -coloured differently; 1st= morning classes; 2nd = afternoon classes. There must be coloured dividers between the subjects. |
|
|
|
|
2. Pencils (2) pens (2) and erasers(2) |
|
|
|
|
3. A ruler--preferably with 3 holes to fit onto the rings of a standard binder |
|
|
|
|
4. A pencil case with 3 reinforced holes to fit in the binders |
|
|
|
|
5. Three differently coloured highlighter markers |
|
|
|
|
6. A planner, or a substitute,i.e. a 'to do' list at the front of each subject |
|
|
|
|
7. 4 brown envelopes, punched with 3 holes, to fit at the end of each subject section in the binder |
|
|
|
|
8. 3 differently coloured pens in order to create study cards or notes |
|
|
|
|
9. 1(or more) package of blank recipe cards to create memory cards or study notes |
|
|
|
|
10. 4-5 pieces of cardstock, hole punched with regular letter-sized white envelopes glued to them to hold the study cards |
|
|
|
|
11. A package of page reinforcers to repair pages when they rip from the binder |
|
|
|

Additional ideas |

|
12. An inexpensive paper accordian-style folder, is also excellent in which to store previous notes which you will need, but which are making the binder too bulky. |
|
|
|
|
13. Further colour coding of file folders to match the dividers within the binders can be helpful. |
|
