The format of questions/notes suggested here are just that:  suggestions.   How you note take is your choice but you are responsible for the terms, concepts, and generalizations for each unit.  These are found on the learning outcomes icon on the web page.

 

Week One Introduction

  1. What creates different points of view?
  2. Examine the section on social and economic attitudes.  Make some brief notes on each type of attitude?
  3. Consult the links page for this course to complete a questionnaire to assess where your economic and social attitudes are? 

 

Classifying Countries pp. 19-22

 

  1. Create a chart summarizing the following methods of classifying countries:  developed/underdeveloped, developed/developing, north/south, first/second/third world.  In the first column briefly describe how this model (or the rationale) for division.  In the second column briefly critique (positives and negatives of each model.
