Welcome to 7D!

The students have decided to focus their class goal on "classroom care" this week.  This means that they are making sure they take care of our classroom --cleaning up our garbage from lunch, tucking in our chairs, returning borrowed supplies to the classroom bins (instead of in our desks) etc.  This is extra challenging this week because we only have 4 days to reach our goal, but the students have been working very hard.

Word Wall Note: we have a couple sets of homonyms this week that we are working on, but the challenging pair is: its and it's.  The examples we came up with to help us remember which one is which are:

The cat is swishing its tail. -where "its" means belonging to.

Yes, it's a tunnel! -where "it's" can be replaced with "it is"

If you could help your child practise the different "its/it's" that would be great!

Also, if you haven't yet, please make sure to send back your child's report card envelope with the signed 3rd page of the report card.
