MARK BOOK REPORTS
MARK BOOK REPORTS HAVE BEEN SENT HOME TODAY
I would like to explain my rationale for the low results that your child may have received on the reports:
1. I think it is important for your child to understand the value of what happens when an assignment, regardless of point value, is not turned in. Yes, many students are consistently turning in work, but for those that miss one or two, there will be a major impact.
2. My goal is to have students prepare for secondary where it is expected that they take responsibility for their work and handing in work and not mom or dad or the teacher reminding them daily about it. All students have an agenda and should be using it.
Finally, iIf the student did receive a mark and I did not record it, please have them show me the mark and I will re-record the mark. Also, some of the latest work to be marked because of lateness handing in is not reflected on the markbook slip.
AND ONE MORE PIECE OF INFORMATION...
As always, high marks indicate that your child is completing work and preparing for tests . Not only this but they have also shown that they complete their work to the best of their abilities. Low marks usually indicate that your son or daughter has not completed work or prepared for tests. If work has been submitted OR quite often it is not to the best of their abilities.
