FOREST OF READING PROGRAM STARTS IN JANUARY!!!

1. PRIMARY: BLUE SPRUCE
2. GRADES 3 and 4: SILVER BIRCH EXPRESS
3. GRDES 5 AND 6: SILVER BIRCH
4. GRADE 7 AND 8: INTERMEDIATE READING CLUB

PRIMARY: BLUE SPRUCE

The Blue Spruce program will be delivered to all primary classes 
in the library starting in the month of February so that all primary 
students will have the opportunity to participate in this exciting program.  
The students will be read all 10 of the nominated books and then will vote for 
their favourite book in April.

GRADES 3 and 4: SILVER BIRCH EXPRESS

We meet on Tuesdays at lunch. Students will need to read 5 books from the 10 books on the list to be eligible to vote.
There are 5 fiction and 5 non-fiction books available to read.

Sign-ups for this club will be right before the December break.  We will start the second week back in January.

We meet on Wednesdays at lunch.

This year we will have 2 categories:  Fiction and Non-Fiction. 
Studentswill need to read 5 books from a category to be eligible to vote.

Sign-ups for this club will be right before the December break.  We will start the second week back in January.

GRADE 7 AND 8: INTERMEDIATE READING CLUB

We meet on Tuesdays before school. We are reading books from the Red Maple Book list.  
There are 10 fiction and 10 non-fiction books on the list. 
This club has a true Book Club format - we meet on Tuesday mornings to enjoy some hot chocolate, have a morning 
snack, and discuss what we are reading!  
Students who read 5 books in either the fiction or non-fiction category will be eligible to vote.
