What is the Brain Buster Club?
This is a club for students who are interested in going above and beyond the normal classroom expectations. It is a way to challenge my students and to keep their brains active!
Each time you answer a Brain Buster correctly, you earn a star from me! You can be a 1 star member all the way up to a 84 star member. You start in the Bronze Members, and can work your way all the way up to the Diamond Members.
Here is the criteria for getting into each Brain Buster Member Group:
Bronze Members: 1-17 Stars
Silver Members: 18-34 Stars
Gold Members: 35-51 Stars
Platinum Members: 52-68 Stars
Diamond Members: 69-84 Stars
How do we participate?
It's easy! Choose any question from this page and research it using the website provided (or good old fashioned books) in order to find the answer. Then, copy the question and answer in your Brain Buster Notebook! Bring your notebook to me during lunch or recess, I will check your answers, and if you answered the Brain Buster correctly, you will recieve a star! If you do a Brain Buster Challenge that is a game, please have your parents write a note confirming that you played tha game and achieved the goal!
What is the Brain Buster Notebook?
Any notebook that you want to use! Sometimes the small notepads are good for this club, but you can use whatever you feel comfortable using! When recording in your Brain Buster Notebook, please put the number of the question, copy the question, and then it's answer below. Keep it organized, please! Skip lines in between questions, use neat handwriting, etc...
Brain Buster Hall Of Fame
The student that completes the most Brain Buster Challenges in a given year will be put into the Brain Buster Club Hall Of Fame. This will include a picture of the student and the amount of challenges completed displayed on my classroom wall until I retire!
