Thank you to all who were involved and help us build our igloo this past Friday. We love it!  It will serve as our reading center for a week or two.

Changed Memory Work Procedures
It is now the 3rd quarter of school! Your child is just a few months from becoming a 2nd or a 3rd grader! Our memory work procedures change a little starting during the 3rd quarter.  Previously when a student would say their memory work, they were allowed 0-1 helps in order to receive a sticker on their chart.  Now they are being challenged to having ZERO helps in order to receive a sticker.  2nd graders are also now required to know the Bible reference, but are allowed one help with the reference part only. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding this.  New 3rd Quarter Memory Work schedules were sent home this week on bright yellow paper.  I do have extras if yours was lost!


FEBRUARY - Christian Education Month
During the Sundays in February, Immanuel celebrates and recognizes the importance of Christian Education.  Like last year, each Sunday a different classroom will be in charge of helping serve during our church services.  They will be asked to help in several different ways such as singing, ushering, greeting, and serving snacks.  More information will be coming soon as to which classes will serve which Sundays.   The whole school does sing the last Sunday in Feb. during the 10:30am service.  This service is also special because it will recognize Immanuel Lutheran School's 10th Anniversary.  Stay tuned for more information.



December Book-It 
December Book-its should be returned to school in order to receive your free pan-pizza at Pizza Hut. January Book-its should be sent home this next week, set for a 120 min. goal.


Patches is Back!
Patches - our beloved "class pet" from last year is back! Every Friday, Patches and his journal will be sent home with one student. That student will record their adventures in Patches' journal and bring it back to school Monday, where we will all read about their fun.  Hailey has Patches this weekend.

2/20 - No School - President's Day

2/21 - No School - In-Service Day

2/23 - 100th Day of School!

2/26 - K-8 sing in church - 10:30 --- Immanuel Lutheran School's 10 Year Anniversary Celebration following the service.
