About The Teacher

I grew up in Eugene and attended both Kennedy and Churchill.  Upon graduation I received a 
basketball 
scholarship to Colorado State.  After graduating from college I moved to San Diego to teach middle 
school and coach high school girls basketball.  I then had an opportunity to obtain my masters 
degree 
and coach college basketball at Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL.  I graduated with a masters in 
business and sports administration.  I then traveled to West Virginia University and coached women's 
basketball for year.  Over the next two years I returned to teaching and taught in Florida and 
Michigan 
before moving back to Eugene:)

I love teaching PE at Kennedy and coaching basketball at Churchill!  I love to hang out with my 
friends 
and family.  I have niece that attends Kennedy and another who is turning 2 this year.  My favorite 
music is reggae and I love scary movies:)

Over the summer I got married:)  I married Chris Stewart, who is a teacher and coach at Churchill 
High School

Mission For The Class

I believe it is important that all students understand the importance of life long fitness.  I try to give my 
students a well rounded experience in class.  My classes participate in fitness activities, team and 
individual sports, team building, problem solving, journaling, and the Presidential Fitness Challenge.
