Students are expected to arrive for math class on time. A student is
marked "on time" when she/he is actively engaged in working on the warm up
when it is time for class to begin ("bell time"). It is the students
responsibility to get to his/her seat on time. A student is marked "tardy"
when he/she:
** is out of seat at bell time
** arrives at seat but then leaves seat to visit locker/hall/etc.
** engages in working on some project other than the
warm up after bell time
** continues to visit with neighbors at bell time
In the event that a tardy is recorded, that student may receive one of the
following consequences:
warning
15 minute detention
parent contact
office referral
Every effort is made to help students discover the best way to avoid being
tardy to class. Students who are consulting with another teacher must
remember to ask for a hall pass, or they will be marked tardy. Students
finding it impossible to get from one class to the next on time should see
me.
