State Report Card
The Oregon Department of Education produces yearly report cards for schools and districts in this state. These reports –called for by the 1999 state legislature – give educators a tool for communicating with the public about local school performance. The report cards are available through the link below, at your student’s school and at the district office.
The Oregon Department of Education rates the performance of each school annually. Performance ratings are based on student performance on state assessments, student attendance and improvement on state assessments over time.
Beginning in September 2009, schools are rated as outstanding, satisfactory, and unacceptable. School ratings are released in October.

Adequate Yearly Progress
The federal No Child Left Behind Act requires schools, districts, and states to make adequate yearly progress (AYP) toward the goal of having all students meet academic standards on state assessments. Each year, the performance of all students in the school and district, as well as subgroups of students, is measured against annual performance targets.
The subgroups of students include race, special education, and limited English proficiency and economically disadvantaged, if one student in a subgroups fails to make adequate yearly progress, the entire subgroup “does not meet” AYP.
