What are the secrets of successful consequences?

Dr. Becky Bailey presented a workshop on this very topic at the NAEYC 
Conference.  The workshop helped uproot beliefs about punishment so we can 
begin reflecting rather than judging children's actions.  Children need to 
be taught to follow our example.  Jane Nelson, author of Positive 
Discipline, presented her fifteen tools that encourage and empower both

How do I know what to teach in my PK classroom?

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has specific guidelines to assist the PK and 
K teachers in the parish and regional elementary schools throughout the 
Archdiocese.  You can go to www.catholicschools-phl.org and click on 
Elementary curriculum where you will find a copy of the guidelines.
