ELEMENTARY INTEGRATED LANGUAGE ARTS
2008-2009 GOALS
The committee has set the following goals for the 2008-2009 school year:
1.To coordinate the Archdiocesan Harcourt/ Houghton-Mifflin Spelling Bee
(grades 4-6)
2.To review new and updated reading and language arts programs for the
approved text list
3.To communicate and collaborate with the Library Committee in order to
improve ILA activities, specifically creating Recommended Reading Book Lists
4.To provide assistance and resources to ILA coordinators through our web
page, conferences, workshops, and individual help if/when requested
5.To continue to be available for curriculum discussions with the Secondary
English Committee
6.To design new End of the Year Assessments which will be aligned with the
Religion, Rigor, Relevance, and Relationships framework.
