The library is open during homeroom only. Students may come to
the library during homeroom. For printing convenience, there is a computer
and printer kiosk set up in room 230 for student use.
Nothing other than paper and pen may be carried beyond the sign-in desk.
All students entering the library must sign in, unless they are part of an
entire class.
During homeroom. Students may come directly to the library and the librarian
will inform attendance they are here, or they may come with a pass from the
homeroom teacher.
Entire Class. Please feel free to reserve time with in the business office
to bring your classes to the library. Remember, the library may be open for
teacher class use for only two periods a day. There are 24 computers in the
library. Please keep in mind that during the AP exams in May, no student or
teacher is permitted to enter the library.
Materials. Books in the regular collection circulate for two weeks. They
may be renewed as many times as necessary. Books not returned on time are
overdue books. They are charged a fine of 10¢ per day. Magazines and
reference books do not circulate.
Card Catalog. We now have an electronic card catalog. It is available on
the desktop of every computer in the school. It is under “My favorites.”
You can click on it to see what is available in our library.
Reading Olympics. Archbishop Wood High School participated in the Bucks
County Reading Olympics for the first time in 2007. We are proud of our
students and their outstanding accomplishment of a blue and red ribbon. We
are equally proud of our 2008 team. We continue to grow and succeed. In 2009
our teams were awarded two blues and a red. A copy of the list for 2012
appears on another page of our website.
