Read p. 127 in Matter book (the 3 paragraphs on the Nitrogen family) and pp. 98-99 in Science Explorer (the 3 paragraphs on the Nitrogen family).
Take notes on the physical and chemical properties of the Nitrogen family - focus on what makes the Nitrogen family a "family" and what makes them different from other Mixed Metals families like carbon and boron.

Students who are so busy at play practices that they are unable to complete their in-class Hitch assignments should talk to a mentor and Mrs. Resinger - perhaps a schedule needs to be implemented, or perhaps that student can be excused from regular Independent Reading so he/she can focus on Hitch.
