Arts Council's 2011 Growing Up Artfully Award for excellence in K-12 arts
education programming!
GREAT JOB - Broughal Middle School - Marching Band, Jazz Ensemble, and
Orchestra! Congratulations to members of Broughal Middle School's marching
band, jazz ensemble, and orchestra! These groups performed in competition on
May 20-21 at Music in the Parks Festival in Springfield, MA. Along with
receiving both excellent and good ratings, Broughal Middle School won the
coveted Esprit de Corps Award. Congrats to the students and to Mrs. Gross!

Join the great cell phone drive. Donate an inactive cell phone. Place it in
the collection box in Mrs. Gross' office. The instrumental music department
receives a small donation for each phone that is collected.
Musical Instruments Needed!!
Is there a musical instrument collecting dust somewhere in your home?
Donate an instrument to a Broughal Middle School student! Your tax-deductible
instrument donation can enable a student to participate in our instrumental

Clothing Needed!!
Students are in need of lightly used boy's/men's black dress trousers, black
laced shoes, white dress shirts, and neckties; girl's/misses black dress
slacks or skirts, black shoes and white tops or blouses. Call (610) 866-5041

Box Tops for Education
Drop clipped box tops in the container in your child's homeroom. The
instrumental music program will receive ten cents per box top coupon.
Campbell Soup Labels
Drop all Campbell's labels in the large Campbell's Soup container in Room
155 (band-room) of Broughal Middle School. The instrumental music program
will receive rewards for the UPC labels.
