Homework is due the day after it is assigned unless it is a long term
project.
Students who are absent have the homework due the day they return to
school. Students absent for longer periods of time must check with Mr.
Patterson about work missed and when the work will be due for them.
Students absent due to family vacations or trips must pick up work due
before they leave school. The work is due when they return to school.
Homework not turned in on the day due may be given a zero grade without
special arrangement with Mr. Patterson.
Homework is an opportunity to practice information covered in class.
Without that practice you may find it difficult or impossible to work
toward mastery of a topic.
Zero grades for homework and lack of practice can easily lower a grade an
entire letter for a marking period. Homework is a small task that adds up
to further success.
