I have been teaching for about 11 years. For most of that time I have taught
in the Bethlehem Area School District divided between 8th grade Earth and
Space Science and 6th grade Physical Science.
For the 2010 - 2011 school year I will be teaching 8th grade Earth and Space
science, again.
I am an avid reader of both fiction and nonfiction. I enjoy running,
swimming and boating. You may find me volunteering at the DaVinci Center in
Allentown, PA on weekends or helping out at Lehigh Valley Road Runners races.
We will be working to increase our understanding of scientific thought and
to use a scientific method to solve problems and answer questions. We will
use student's curiosity to develop skills of observation both qualitative
and quantitative, and help students make reasonable inferences about the
things they note.
Above all we will come to understand that all of us can use the same
methods scientists use to understand the world.
