I am a 1993 graduate of Bradford Area High School. I attended Slippery Rock
University and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Physical
Education, a minor in Adapted Physical Education, and a Masters Degree in
Social Restoration. I returned to my alma mater in August of 1999 and have
been teaching at Bradford High School for 10 years. Along with my
teaching duties, I am also a Peer Helper Advisor and a member of the Student
Assistance Program.
On a personal note...I live in Bradford with my husband, Jason, our son
Caleb, and our daughter Abbie. Caleb will turn 6 in January and Abbie is 4.
Physical Education is an integral part of the total education process. It
gives all students the opportunity to develop physically, mentally, and
socially through a variety of lifetime sport activities. Physical Education
helps students achieve the skills, physical fitness, knowledge, social
qualities and attitudes that will allow them to develop an optimal quality of
life and well-being. I involve all students and allow them to succeed,
achieve, and have fun, while experiencing, competition, and cooperation
through a wide range of lifetime fitness skills. I also attempt to
demonstrate appropriate and positive competitive behavior and an appreciation
and acceptance of different ability levels.
