I have been teaching at BHMS since 2001 on the 7th and 8th grade Maroon Team. My professional
experience includes having degrees in Education specializing in: Special Education, Second
Language Education, and Educational Leadership. I have attended Kutztown University for my
undergraduate work and Turabo and Lehigh Universities for my graduate work. I do believe in
being a life long learner, therefore, I am always involved in taking classes to update my skills
and teaching practices. In addition to teaching middle school students, I also teach graduate
students at Penn State University as an adjunct faculty member.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a little girl named Alexis who
is the apple of my eye. I also have a dog named Bailey who loves to keep me busy playing ball.
My husband and I enjoy spending time outside. We enjoy hiking, riding our four wheelers,
swimming, gardening, and biking. When it is too cold to be outside, I enjoy scrapbooking,
collecting baskets, and reading.
If you have any questions or concerns throughout the school year, please contact me. I can be
contacted using the information under the "Teacher Contact Information" link, or by clicking on
the mailbox icon on the homepage via e-mail. I do check my e-mail periodically throughout the
day. I also check my voice mail in the beginning of each day.
