Conferences are done and they were very well attended. Thank you parents for
taking the time to come in to school.
Our next conference will be in February and I will keep the same schedule of
times.However,if you need to speak with me at any time about academic
concerns you have about your child and would like a conference, I am ususally
available afer school at 4:00. Just call the office and leave a message for
me to get back to you.
I am almost ready to take the students to computer class. I am sending home a
letter about COMPASS, which is a computer program in which they can practice
skills at home for reinforcement.
Homework routines are still the same. Remember that on Wednesdays there will
always be a homework sheet featuring the letter and SOUND (important) of the
week. This has to be returned on Thursdays for an earned penny reward. We
will still be working on the Family Times Skills and Readers. Family Times is
kept at home. Readers are returned to school on Friday to be read as a class.
And we are still having fun too!!!
Our Thanksgiving program is the next big event. Invitations are coming home
soon. The program will be in the classroom and it is crowded but in the past
we have had a few grandparents attend and they really enjoyed the show. It is
short but everyone can stay a little longer to enjoy refreshments after the
show. Also parents can sign out their child and take them home at the end.
We are busy practicing songs, poems and speaking our parts. Please be sure
your child remembers all the words in his/her part.
