I will post tests, quizzes, and graded assignments to my progress book once
they have been graded. Most grades will be posted the day after the
test/quiz was given. Some tests/quizzes may take longer to grade, therefore,
it may take more than a day to post the grades. I do not post daily
assignments on progress book but I will post a classwork and homework
checklist halfway through the marking period.
My grading system is based on a point system. When you see the individual
grades posted, you will also see a percentage grade next to the test, quiz,
and/or assignment. Those percentages are not averaged together. In my
class, the student's total number of pointes is divided by the total number
of points assigned in the class. This is their average in class. If an
assignment is missing, the student will lose points based on each day it is
late. When the assignment is completed, it will be calculated into their
grades.
