Parents and students,
Trips to Camelback Resort will begin this Friday, January 6th and contintue
on the following dates, weather permitting;
January 6th
January 13th
January 20th
February 3rd
February 17th
February 24th (inclement weather make-up date)
SKI CLUB WILL NOT TRAVEL TO CAMELBACK ON SCHOOL DAYS CANCELLED DUE TO
INCLEMENT WEATHER, NOR TRAVEL IF SCHOOL IS DISMISSED EARLY DUE TO WEATHER. IF
THERE IS A LATE START DUE TO WEATHER, WE WILL TRAVEL TO CAMELBACK.
Answers to common questions:
We will depart from Dallas Middle School at approximately 3:10 and arrive at
Camelback approx. 4:25 PM. Ski Lessons begin promptly at 5PM. Our bus will
be returning to the Dallas Middle School at approx. 10:10 PM. Parents are
expected to be at the middle school in a timely manner to provide
transportation home.
You must ride the bus to and from the resort, unless you are going home with
an adult. If leaving with an adult, especially another parent, a note must
be presented prior to leaving that day! YOU WILL NOT be allowed to leave with
another parent unless I have parental consent. All Middle School codes of
conduct and safety will be strictly enforced and violations may result in a
disciplinary referral and/or a loss of Ski Club privileges without the
possibility of refund. Vouchers this year will be loaded onto a pre-paid pass
which will be distributed and collected after each visit to Camelback. DO NOT
ASK ME for the pre-paid cards to make personal, weekend or weekday trips to
Camelback with parents or friends. These cards will be bar code loaded with
five trips. If you are absent, you will have those trips remaining on your
pre-paid card to use after our scheduled trips have been completed.
Reminder... You are representing the Dallas Middle School. All policies
regarding behavior, etiquette, safety and illegal substances will be
enforced. If you're a parent interested in chaperoning an trip, please email
me with your intentions the week of our ski trip.
