Calculation Method: Weighted Average
Test (Literature and Grammar tests, projects, and essays) 50%
Quiz (Vocabulary quizzes, journals) 40%
Homework (assignments) 10%
Grades in all these categories will be recorded in the Progress Book as soon as any tests, quizzes, journals, or essays are corrected. Naturally, correcting shorter tests or quizzes is accomplished faster than grading journals, essays or projects. Therefore, depending on the category of the grade, the frequency of progress Book updating will vary.
Mrs. Razavi's Seventh and Eighth Grade French Classes
Grade Categories: Test, Dialogue, Project
Average Calculation Method: Straight Average
French classes meet only two days out of the six-day cycle; therefore, the number of grades and the frequency of updates on the Progress Book system will be fewer than the major subjects. Grades will be recorded in the system as soon as tests, projects, or dialogues are graded.
