Kindergarten children do have homework weekly.
Monday - The Family Times workbook page will come home. It will prepare your
child for the week's work. It will also let you know what your child is
working on and how well the work is understood. This sheet does not come
back
to school. You may work on the activities all week at home.
Tuesday- The Wordless Reader will come home. This type of book helps
children
express orally what is happening in the pictures. It needs to be practiced
at
home and then returned to school on Friday for "choral reading" in class.
Please look in the back of the book for the skill to be practiced in that
particular book.
Wednesday -The letter of the week paper will come home beginning in October.
Directions will be on the paper. It needs to come back to school on Thursday
to be corrected by the teacher.
Thursday - The Kindergarten Reader will come home. It includes words with
labels that indicate what the word is. Ask your child to name the letter
that
each word begins and ends with. This book needs to come back to school on
Friday for choral reading in class.
Friday - No homework!
