MEET H.A.L.AND H.A.L.I.E.

Who ... or What ... are H.A.L and H.A.L.I.E? They are acronyms that stand for Healthy Active
Lifestyle and a Healthy Active Lifestyle Is Exciting. They're not just about being physically
active and eating the right kinds and amounts of food. Living a H.A.L. and/or H.A.L.I.E is
about making choices that positively influence personal health, wellness, and physical fitness.

Factors that influence health, wellness, and physical fitness in adults and
adolescents include:

1. participating in regular physical activity
2. eating well
3. managing stress
4. avoiding destructive habits/behaviors
5. adopting good safety and personal health habits
6. learning first aid
7. seeking and complying with medical advice
8. being an informed consumer
9. protecting the environment
