We consider every activity that we introduce to the students
an "option". Each student needs to decide whether or not that activity is
right for them based upon their likes, abilities, and life style.
For each activity we discuss where the activity came from, what skills are
needed to play the activity, and strategies and rules that are used in the
activity. They are asked to identify skills they do well, skills they need
to work on, and what they can do to improve those skills. They are also
asked to determine how well they apply strategies and rules and what they
