Welcome to First Grade!
Howdy! My name is Mrs. Dart and I am excited to be your first grade teacher! I have many fun learning experiences planned for our year together.
This summer I have been very busy preparing for the upcoming year. A few exciting things have happened that are going to help make our year together fabulous.First, I continued to update our classroom website to help both first grade parents and students keep up to date on classroom information. If you are looking for something specific, I have arranged information alphabetically on the student and parent pages. You may go onto our class’s website anytime to find information about the happenings in our classroom. Next, our school was very lucky to have brand new ceilings and lights installed. Not only do the lights help brighten our classroom, they are also very engery efficient.Finally, I completed my master's degree in reading this summer at Edinboro University. I also became a certified reading specialist. I can't wait to use all of the great reading strategies that I learned to help students become great readers.
