Greater Nanticoke Area is a proud supporter of the Envirothon.  Teams of five students compete through field tests and other outdoor experience showcasing their knowledge of science and the environment in five categories which include:

• Soil and Land Usage
• Aquatic Ecology
• Forestry
• Wildlife
• Environmental Issues

Students are challenged with up-to date hot topic questions and issues in each of the five categories.

Winners at the state competition have the chance to win:

• $10,000 educational scholarships
• Chance to Compete in the Cannon Envirothon, the larges environmental competition in all of North America.
