MARINE SCIENCE

*** The following summer camps take place at the Marine Science Consortium Campus at Wallops Island, VA.

1. Junior Marine Biologist Camp

These courses are for students who completed grades 7-9 and are interested in learning about selected topics in biology, ecology, and the natural world. Each one-week couse emphasizes field work, with most of the day spent gaining practical sampling and field science experience, and evenings spent enjoying traditional summer camp activities.

2. Aspiring Marine Biologist Camp

These courses are designed for high school students who have completed grades 10-12 and are looking for in-depth exposure to an area within the field of marine biology. Participants will be engaged in educational activities throughout the day and evenings. Students will have the opportunity to meet with a college professor and college students taking a class on the MSC campus.


ENGINEERING 

1. 2012 Engineering Summer Camp 

Do you enjoy science and math? Perhaps your future is in engineering! Widener University's summer camp is the perfect place to start exploring engineering. 


WEATHER

1. 2012 Weather Summer Camp
 
During this week of camp, you'll receive hands-on experience in many aspects of weather, including the actual process of making a forecast. The camp, which is held at Penn State's Department of Meteorology at the University Park Campus, is designed for students who will enter grades 8-10 in the fall of 2012. (There is also an Advanced Weather Camp for students who will enter grades 11-12 in the fall of 2012.) Scholarships ARE available!


SCIENCE

1. Summer Science Sleuths at Duke

If you are an 8th or 9th grader who enjoys science, this is just the camp for you! Duke University's two-week summer camp is located in North Carolina, and students who are selected will receive free tuition and travel scholarships.


GENERAL

1.Career Exploration Camps @ Misericordia University

Misericordia is offering rising 11th and 12th graders an opportunity to experience and learn about 8 different exciting professions during the following camps: Chemistry and Biochemistry Camp, Nursing Pre-College Camp, Future Business Executives Camp, Communications and Media Camp, Speech-Language Pathology Camp, Literature Camp, Teacher Education Camp, and Occupational Therapy Camp.
