Announcements

1. Students are given a pencil box containing crayons, two pencils, and a glue stick. These items are to remain in the classroom. This way, the students have all tools necessary to complete a day's work.

2. Students are also given a colored "Homework" folder and planner. Please review all materials nightly and send back homework, notes, and forms promptly. Planners are to be signed each night after homework is completed.

3. Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday, and can be in Reading, Math, Spelling, and Social Studies/Science.

   a. Students will be given study guides for subjects at least 2 nights prior to a test.
   b. Spelling and Reading tests will always be on Friday. If there is a holiday during a particular week, I will send a note home explaining the adjusted schedule.

4. Because our class has third lunch (12:30-1pm), I will allow students to bring a small snack and drink for mid-morning. This will be considered a "working snack," as we will continue a lesson while the students snack. Please keep the snacks small, such as pretzels, grapes, crackers, or fruit snacks. Think healthy!

5. Our class is scheduled to have Library class each Wednesday. Be sure your child has their book to return!
