Star Reporter News

Hi, my name is Rebecca and I've been Star Reporter for the past 3 weeks.
This is what has been going on all the time in 4th grade...

In Social Studies, all of our PhotoStory projects are coming out well. All
of us are done getting pictures. Instead of having a test, we are doing
this project. I think we are all having fun. When we show our projects, we
will get to see words and pictures. We will hear music and each other
talking

When we went to the "Ned" show, we found out we were a Blue Ribbon school.
That means we had some of the best Terra Nova scores in the country. We are
all excited about it. When we celebrate it, we may have a dress down day
where we are all supposed to dress in blue. The school may have a blue cake
or something like that. We are celebrating on November 20th.

In reading, we just finished reading 'Muggie Maggie'. It was a book about a
girl named Maggie who didn't want to write cursive. It was a good book. Now
we are going to write our first book report. We are going to use the
information we wrote down in our outlines. It will be fun!

In ILA, we had a project where we are writing down Halloween similies. We
had to get them checked, and then write a good copy. Some similies are
funny. Some are sad. Some are just regular. I think this project will become
a great success.

On the day of the Halloween party, we will come to school in dress down. We
will also bring our costumes. We will have our Halloween party, then go to
the parade. We also have a half day. We all have great costumes and we
can't wait!!

In science, we are learning about ecosystems. We are doing an experiment
about how fast mold grows on wet bread and dry bread. We learned the steps
in the scientific process. I think the wet bread will grow mold faster than
the dry bread.
