Policy
Homework may be given on the first day of the week that your student has a
Spanish Lesson ( Tuesday or Wednesday). It will be due on the following
lesson ( Thursday or Friday).

The Upper Elementary students (6th, 7th and 8th)should not spend more than
30 minutes on it.
If work is not finished in alotted time, draw a line where one stopped sign
it with the parents initials.
Tarea _ miercoles, el 20 de noviembre.
_ Use the pictures from your previous homework - or other/different
ones.
_ Write a total of 5 sentences that describe a temporary physical
condition of one of the objects in the picture/ or of the entire
scene.
_ You must use the verb "Estar" in some form. Think 3rd person- if
you are describing something.
_ Sentences must be written on a lined sheet of paper. Must have your
name and date.- plus the pictures you are describing. More than 1
sheet is OK but must have your name on it.

A 3 page packet entitled Como estoy hoy. -- Use of the verb estar
with feelings. Please complete. The entire packet revolves around the
vocabulary on the first page: contento/ contenta - happy
enojado/ enojada - angry
triste - unhappy - sad.
If on the last page you want to describe the change ( in addition to using
the vocabulary words. This is the verb form you need to use: tiene
i.e. Jose tiene una pelota.
Jose no tiene una pelota (ball).

3 Pictures from either a magazine, a newspaper or the internet.
Temporary Physical Condition.--- remember the video you saw.
With your 3 pictures you must be able to describe in each setting the
temporary physical condition it shows. i.e. a muggy dog.
1 extra point per picture for if a spanish phrase/simple sentence is used
that has the verb estar in it.

1 You are being interviewed by the director Sr. Lopez Moreno of your first
choice high school.
You are leading the interview. Your parents and one sibling or friend are
with you also.
Include in your dialogue:

In the classroom, greet your teacher and introduce your grandparents to them.
