Description The Organizer
You are truely the person who will tie this quest together! You are like the
conductor of a great symphony. The success of this mission will depend on
you!
You must help the biographer figure out what is important about Van
Gogh.Brainstorm with him about the facts. Help him write dowm the
information.
Talk with the art specialist. Share what you have learned from the
biographer to help the specialist look for pertinant information.
View slides with the buyer. Tell him some things you now know about Van Gogh
and Post Impressionism. This should help him in his selections.
Once the five art works have been decided, work with the buyer to save these
images in a folder.
Create a slide show of the works.
Have each member of your team talk about a slide and why it was chosen. This
information should incorporate the biography of Vincent Van Gogh, traits of
Impressionism, Post Impressionism, Fauvism and Expressionism.
Practice your presentation with your group. Be kind and patient!!!!
Internet Links for The Organizer
Since you must be aware of all parts of the presentation, have the
biographer take you to his favorite sites. The main site will probably be
the Van Gogh Gallery.

When working with the art specialist, have him take you inside a Van Gogh
painting to really get "the picture" about Post Impressionism!

By now, the buyer may be overwhelmed with the paintings by Vincent. For the
self portrait, you can suggest one involving the "ear incident". Then,
maybe mix it up, a favorite still life, landscape, his room in Arles,
whatever you decide.
